Nuuhhad & Justin came to me last fall through a mutual friend at Dynamic Body & Fitness in Waterdown. You see the fitness community is very tight – that’s where gentleman Justin is from. He’s a personal trainer in Oakville and one of his clients was a certain classy young lady by the name of Nuuhhad, pictured here.  I loved working with this couple and meeting their families – a great Canadian joining of Italian and Lebanese cultures that both appreciated each others’ backgrounds. By the way, if you’ve ever been to a lebanese wedding, you gotta love big entrance, preceded by drummers.

Nuuhhad is the kind of bride you always hope of getting as a client – with a background in graphic design she knew what she wanted out of her photos and what the camera needed.  So pretty too. What a joy it was and you can see the results for yourself.  I remember taking photos during the cocktail reception – so many fit people of all ages gathered to wish the couple well in their new life together.  While you’re going through the photos, see if you can spot the sports celebrity!

Jacqueline & Shane have been together for 7 years, ever since Shane saw her at work and stepped in front of her in the aisleway to introduce himself to this pretty lady. Now he had a big burly beard at the time, but still managed to get her details from a friend and ultimately dupe her into loving him! ha ha! Seriously though, look at how much fun these two have together – during the shoot we tried a few “blue steel” looks but I quickly realized that their true nature lit up when they were being frivolous and fun.

They’d ultimately like to live in Burlington so we shot at locales in town, ending up at Spencer Smith Park, watching the sun go down and enjoying the model boats making their way around the pond.  Can’t wait to see where these two end up going. He’s an electrician that gets to travel for work from time to time and she’s an arts major, working on her big break. They’re both snowboarders, so I know they’ll hit the slopes this winter. Hiking’s a big thing for them too, in fact Shane proposed to Jacqueline at the top of Mt. Baker in Washington state… hmmm, sounds like something I would do! Congratulations you guys!

Last year I had the pleasure of photographing my son’s teachers for their engagement, this year was their day at last to be married. These two loved the kids they taught so much they reserved a row for them at their wedding ceremony. Both families were fun to watch as they got their respective members ready, though not necessarily on time, lol!  It didn’t matter in the end though, everything was perfect. Even the torrential downpour that day agreed to cease and desist so Ursula & Cory could get their outdoor photos at the Royal Botanical Garden grounds. Gosh, Ursula sure was a pretty bride as you’ll see, and the bridesmaids said Cory was a bit of a catch too. Before finishing off our photo session and heading off to the reception, we made a quick stop where they met and worked, at the Burlington Childventures Early Learning Academy for a photo.

I wish I could post more photos because we got tons of great images that day. It was great to send these two off with all their memories in hand. Best of luck to a great, deserving couple.
