This summer seems to have been an exceptional summer for weddings – and this one was perfect. Danielle and Dave were married in beautiful Waterdown this summer. It was also a summer of tiny little bugs! While Danielle and I were setting up for her bridal photos at Royal Botanical Gardens, her dress was invaded by a tiny swarm of flying bite-me’s, not so easy to photoshop out! She handled the situation well however – evicting them with decisive flicks.

I’m really happy with the results of this wedding day, so much so that I’m featuring one of the photos and their wedding album at the Milton and Hamilton/Halton Fall Wedding shows this September.

Congratulations Danielle and Dave!

Gorgeous Fiona and her lovely wee Scottish mum met me at a wedding show last year and we hit it off right away. We had a great time shooting their engagement session in the spring, coming away with some really great photos. I knew we would get more of the same for their wedding, and the day did not disappoint.

Scots have a special place in my heart – not just because I married one. I love the country – the countryside, the landscapes, but most of all the welcoming, joyous people that you really shouldn’t cross either! ha ha! But seriously, their wedding was perfectly them – from the piper to happy, teary-eyed mum wishing her daughter the best in her new life with Roman and little Ava.

Megan and Zach were referred to me in the spring last year by another happy couple. We had been in touch and tried to get together on a number of occasions, but these two are busy people! We connected at last in the fall last year and made arrangements for their 2014 wedding date. I could tell right away these two had a lot of fun together; easy smiles, completely relaxed, and clearly in love.

We shot their wedding at Lasalle Park this summer and had a great time with it. I’m happy to say this won’t be the last time we get together though, Megan & Zach will be joining their engaged friends Renee & Rudi as they exchange vows in Cuba this fall, and yours truly will be heading down to photograph their destination wedding!

Hope you guys had a great honeymoon, and see you in Cayo Coco!

Morgan & Rob share a kind of quiet love that runs deep. Not given to public displays, I still got the chance to see how they care for each other during their engagement and wedding photos. Men typically don’t like being in front of the camera but every time my lens came up, Rob still did a great job bringing out Morgan’s easy smile.

What a perfect day it turned out to be for them. They were joined at a beautiful Stoney Creek venue, Winona Vine Estate, under the eyes of all their friends & family and a perfect sky.

Congratulations you two, wishing you both a great future and everything it has to offer.
